Hazardous Materials Abatement
Our services include the remediation and abatement of all types of hazardous materials including asbestos, mould, lead, PCBs, mercury, arsenic and guano. We secure all required permits and develop site specific health, safety and work plans. In addition, we have the resources, both equipment and manpower, to complete our operations cost-effectively. We are in constant pursuit to better our operations and as such, we have purchased a new piece of equipment that will allow us to accomplish this task. With the purchase of this new specialty vacuum equipment, the VecLoader® Hepa Vac®, our projects are completed more efficiently and with minimal disturbance to our clients' operations. All contaminated materials vacuumed by this equipment are contained in a fully enclosed negative pressure environment. This equipment also includes a built-in work station where the collected materials may be single, double, bulk bagged or barreled as mandated by governing agencies. In addition, the VecLoader® Hepa Vac® is capable of handling a complete spectrum of particle sizes ranging from clumps of debris 4 to 5 inches in diameter down to sub-micron particles. With this added feature to our services, we can complete your jobs using less man power and hours, thereby reducing the overall cost of your project.

Lead, Mercury, ArsenicMercury is highly persistent in the environment and has been shown to bioaccumulate in the food chain. Elemental mercury and mercury compounds are toxic and as such are considered to be hazardous waste. Accordingly, equipment containing mercury is required to be packaged, transported and disposed of properly as per applicable regulations. Mercury is used in a variety of manufacturing processes and products such as thermometers, lighting switches and fluorescent bulbs. We have completed hundreds of projects involving cleanup of mercury spills, removal and disposal of mercury containing equipment and/or bulbs.
PCBsWe make sure that your PCB waste is properly packaged and identified in accordance with all applicable regulatory agencies. In order to keep the disposal costs at a minimum, we also ensure that the PCB waste is segregated, labeled and optimized in order to have a homogeneous waste stream. Through the years we have developed an expertise on a wide variety of PCB waste handling services such as in-situ dismantling of ASKAREL Transformer types to accommodate buildings and hard to reach places, site characterization and site decommissioning. We have all the necessary training and MOE permits required to perform all types of PCB handling work.
GuanoBird droppings, albeit minimal, may contain some lethal bacteria such as E. coli and as a result, may pose a risk to human health. Typically, guano is found in commercial or industrial buildings where birds have had a chance to settle. Clean-up work should be performed by a professional remedial contractor. Although there are no enforced regulations related to guano clean-up, the same precautions and safety procedures should be followed as when dealing with hazardous or biological waste. We have completed several projects involving this type of clean-up and have the experience in the methods of cleanup, handling and disposal.
